According to custom Bugis, every color of clothes worn by women are guy Bugis indicate the age or the dignity of the wearer.
The Color Meaning
Orange worn by 10-year-old girl.
Orange and red worn by girls aged 10-14 years.
Red worn by women aged 17-25 years.
White is used by the attendants and herbalists.
Green worn by women of nobility.
Purple worn by widows.
